my hair, is is too short for extensions…?

Posted by admin

my hair is roughly this length: http://www.iheartpink.popstory.com/pics/albums/2006/12%20Dave%20Hogan%20%5BNobody%20Knows%20set%5D/normal_017.jpg i can just about get curls into it, it looks like this: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c384/aziajs/81786_pink7_122_323lo.jpg would i be able to use these hair extensions: http://beauty.hsn.com/hairdo-from-jessica-simpson-ken-paves-22-l-relaxed-curl-extension_p-4193830_xp.aspx?sf=bs&attr=3099&prev=hp!3099&cm_re=product_carousel*page1_spot3_image*NewDoNewYou-ken_paves&ccm=bs|3099 and get a natural look without a visible weft line? TIA
just wanted to point out that i don't want glue in extensions or clip-in ones that have lots of little wefts, i like this style because it is one big weft so easier for me to use. i am a colourist by trade but the only extensions we have in my salon are the glue / threaded in variety, i only want some that i can clip-in for a night out, not permanent ones :-)
You could i think. mind you, you can get some from Sally Salon & Beauty Services which dont cost the earth, you can glue them in yourself or some have tiny clips to clip in. i think with your hair being so short it might look a bit obvious you have extensions if your not careful, you know you will be able to see the line from your hair to the extensions if its not layered.
you would get a better effect with salon extensions obviously but they cost a silly amount of money!
if i was you i'd pop to sallys and test one of their hair pieces to see if you can see it through your own hair!

  1. Iheartu Said,

It might work with extensions if you're lucky!
I too have clip in extensions but my hair is past my shoulders without the extensions!
Talk to your stylist about getting extensions and they'll be able to help you!
    Hope I helped somewhat!

you can get hair extensions by fusion or an invisable weave ( can not remember the name. but that jessica simpson hair is HORRIBLE.

I see alot of women that are white with extensions and they never look natural. A lot of them get ripped off into thinking they are buying high quality human hair. You would need virgin euro hair or processed hair that is micro polymer crossed linked . Wagman Hair has great hair and you can fin virgin Euro hair by googling .

You also need to find a good stylist ask for sample pictures. the extensions need to be blended and cut to match most just put extensions in and don't cut and this is what makes it look horrible

  6. Katie Said,

Have you seen Britney Spears? NO BODY'S hair is too short! I looked at your links, and no, unless you are bald, hair extensions will work for you. I don't know if you will be able to clip them in, but you can definitely have them weaved, glued, braided or whatever you want into your natural hair. I have had extensions many times, and you just want to make sure that the color and texture match your natural hair. ( For sure the texture, as when you have finer hair, thicker extensions will look like a wig. Spending the extra money if you have to is well worth it.) Good luck! If you have any questions I am confident that I can answer them all!

    Mini Links

Mini links or locks are another method and are applied a bit like gimps which are used to hold beads or pearls on wire floater necklaces. The client's own hair is pulled through the mini link with a special needle similar to a knitting machine needle. Then the extension strand is pulled through the mini link easily. The mini link is then pressed firmly with a pliers type tool and this locks in the hair into the mini links. No glue is used, so glue damage is avoided and the links lie flat to the head. This method is often combined with braided hair extensions.

    Shrinkies

Shrinkies are applied in a similar way and are either clear plastic or dark plastic of about 1cm length. Heat is used to tighten up the shrinkie on the hair and the extension to stop the hair escaping. They are removed by cutting up the length of the shrinkie.

In August 2005 I had wondered when I would be able to put my hair up properly into the fashionable French pleat of 2005 or other longer updo hairstyles. Then i found a whole new world related to human hair extensions opened up to me instead. I discovered hair only needed to be 4 inches in length to use clip in extensions successfully.
