I am thinking about going to school for cosmetology (you know, hair, nails, makeup- all of the sort). I've heard of some good schools, such as Empire Beauty School and Paul Mitchelle schools.
Does anyone know which one is "better" or of any other types of beauty schools? I am willing to travel (as long as it's inside the United States).
Please give me ANY advice or opinions you may have! I am willing to hear new ideas as well!
Thanks!
Don't go to Empire Beauty School, The schools are very disorganized and a mess and have pretty much reuined schools across the board…..Vidal Sassoon, Aveda and Paul Mitchell are all good schools…
Here's a list of Cosmetology Schools you can look up in your area if you want:

for skin, hair, etc.
For hair: banana hair mask…1 banana (mashed) 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, ! 1/2 tablespoons olive oil…Mix these together, apply to hair, cover your head with plastic wrap for 15 to 30 min. rinse and shampoo as usual. This has lots of potassium and vitamin A.
well I emailed them the other day and they replied almost straight away and i spoke to an online adviser on their site (live chat) just wanted to know what people who have already done it think
Do NOT do any courses run by ICS. They take your money and leave you it.
I have been waiting well over 7 YEARS for an answer to a question.
Certificate 4 is 1 notch less than a diploma. A certificate takes 9 months full time, a diploma takes 1 yr full time
Level 4 is HND level/degree level.
by "top" i mean, most renowned, best reputation, highest salaries earned by graduates, etc. any answers would be appreciated! thanks!
i researched paul mitchell and at first impression it seems very good (they even provide night classes for many of the schools)..what about any that do just nails classes or just esthetician classes?
Paul Mitchell the school

Did any of you do/are going to do Zoom laser teeth whitening, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, facials, prescription skin care, airbrush tanning, etc?
Was it worth it and would you do it again?
Although we all want to be beautiful on our wedding day, I feel that you should still be YOU. Put on some make up, maybe get your hair done in a style that will fit your veil/hat, but the man you are marrying loves you for who you ARE and how you look NOW. So what if you are not a bronze beauty and your teeth are perfectly dazzling. Your friends and family are coming to your wedding to see two people they love commit to each other for the rest of their lives - they are not coming to see your transformation into a Barbie doll. (I hope that I didn't offend you, I just wanted to get across that you should be yourself.)
