NO! YOU CANNOT USE THE SAME STUFF THAT AFRICAN AMERICANS USE ON THEIR HAIR! THERE'S DIFFERENT TYPES OF HAIR! I AM AFRICAN AMERICAN DO NOT USE A STRAIGHTENING SYSTEM FOR A.A. ON A CAUCASIAN! YOUR HAIR WILL FALL OUT! African americans have nap in their hair that is thick and curly A.A straightening kits are too strong for caucasian hair. Seriously. Go to a salon and get it professionally done- if u have never done this before you could really mess up your hair and make it fall out or damage it badly! I am doing this to help you! Don't listen to chuckle head! It is expensive but they know what they are doing at a salon.

I have been having hair loss on my scalp since 4-5 years. I have taken treatment back in India though but I would like to know the treatments availble in USA. Kindly lemme know.
Thanks
Why spend the money? Many women these days find bald men attractive. Save the money, shave your head and start having fun. It's not whats on the outside that matters, it's what's on the inside. So, try what I suggested, and see what a difference it makes….

My daughter is 22 and is losing her hair. We think it has to do with turners and hormones. Her thyroid is fine, with medication. I would really like to chat with an adult turner syndrome women.
my daughter is 12yr old and has TS. she's got some hair loss. she has 1 patch about 5cms by 3cms and another 1cm round patch. She's been diagnosed with alopicia areata. She saw a dermatologist 3 weeks ago and has started on a steroid lotion to see if it helps.
Hair loss is a bit more common in women with TS although still it does not happen too often and is very rare in children with TS. With my daughter they are thinking it's her immune system attacking the hair follicles.
My daughters thyroid function is fine, it always has been she takes no medication for that. She started estrogen treatment about 8 months ago, oxandralone aged 8yrs and growth hormone aged 4 years. The alopicia started about 2 yrs ago but the hair grew back after 6 months, then about 1 yr ago came back in the same place but got bigger and showed no signs of coming back.
Luckily she has really thick hair so the patches are not seen, she can't have her hair in 2 pony tails or french braids though as it can be seen then. but down or 1 pony tail and it's not seen..She had a blood test done with her last yearly blood tests to see if there was any reason for the loss but all tests came back normal. I guess we will just have to wait and see if the hair comes back or not

my hair is roughly this length: http://www.iheartpink.popstory.com/pics/albums/2006/12%20Dave%20Hogan%20%5BNobody%20Knows%20set%5D/normal_017.jpg i can just about get curls into it, it looks like this: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c384/aziajs/81786_pink7_122_323lo.jpg would i be able to use these hair extensions: http://beauty.hsn.com/hairdo-from-jessica-simpson-ken-paves-22-l-relaxed-curl-extension_p-4193830_xp.aspx?sf=bs&attr=3099&prev=hp!3099&cm_re=product_carousel*page1_spot3_image*NewDoNewYou-ken_paves&ccm=bs|3099 and get a natural look without a visible weft line? TIA
just wanted to point out that i don't want glue in extensions or clip-in ones that have lots of little wefts, i like this style because it is one big weft so easier for me to use. i am a colourist by trade but the only extensions we have in my salon are the glue / threaded in variety, i only want some that i can clip-in for a night out, not permanent ones
You could i think. mind you, you can get some from Sally Salon & Beauty Services which dont cost the earth, you can glue them in yourself or some have tiny clips to clip in. i think with your hair being so short it might look a bit obvious you have extensions if your not careful, you know you will be able to see the line from your hair to the extensions if its not layered.
you would get a better effect with salon extensions obviously but they cost a silly amount of money!
if i was you i'd pop to sallys and test one of their hair pieces to see if you can see it through your own hair!

Like a shampoo and conditioner that actually really works, because my hair is like thin and i want thicker hair so badly!
Nioxin . Nioxin will cleanse your scalp and get all the impurities out of it.This allows new hair growth and healthier hair. I have seen completely bald people get sprouts from using it lol

where i can buy hair loss product here in the philippines?
You can try this. About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

I was thinking of getting hairdo hair extensions and I have a few questions. Ok, for one, the human hair is 500 dollars, which is a lot of money, is it worth it? Also, how much better is the human hair than the synthetic. Ok also, when you have the extensions in is it obvious that they are extensions or are they more dicrete. And finally, can you dye the human hair?
Thanks
(=
It really is worth it! They last for ages and you can do anything with them, curl them, straighten them, dye them, ANYTHING (: . The synthetic ones tend to break a lot, and they look really fake and they fray. If you have layers on your hair, then extensions work better with that, because after a new layer of extensions you can lay a section of hair over it and start on a new layer which makes it look more natural (:

I have been doing research on Great Lengths hair extensions but do not see any references that the textures of the hair are diverse enough to be used for Caucasians as well as African Americans. Can anyone who has used this hair system or works with the system tell me how the hair compares to the traditional "permed straight" texture? Thank you.
Their "permed straight" is a little softer and easier to style but still blends well with the natural.
