Nursing is such a diverse, challenging and worthwhile career that I really feel it is the right course for me. It is a vocation for people who are practical, conscientious, reliable and who find it easy quickly to establish good, trusting relationships with new people. I have these skills and a genuine desire to help people when they need it most. The role of the nurse is changing in the NHS, with more opportunities for nurses to take greater responsibility for patient care and to become specialists in areas such as intensive care, cancer treatment and other specialties. In studying for a degree in nursing I hope that I will be able to make the most of these opportunities as my career develops.
When i left school after six year and studied for two years to gain my HND i realised i very much enjoyed interacting with people and helping and listening to there needs. I also enjoyed and passed my first aid class where we acted out different situations, i learned how to bandage different areas on the body and what the best help would be to someone who was in an emergancy situation ,vulnerable and needed care. I got a lot of confidence in knowing that i could help someone and use my new found skills in a very positive way.
During my working career in many customer care related roles i have gained a lot of skills that i think would also be an asset to becoming a nurse. When working as a beauty therapist my duty was to to make the client feel as comfortable and calm as possible also that they were receiving the best treatment possible and were in trusting hands. During this time i worked well within a team, was able to adapt to many different situations that arose, I also worked well under pressure during different periods during the year.
I have chosen nursing as a career because i want to feel that I have helped someone to regain their health, independence and dignity whether it is after cancer treatment or a broken bone. I hope that my degree in nursing will be the beginning of a lifelong career that will really make a difference.
what can i adjust or add 2 make it sound better
It's not bad, it just sounds a bit "say what they want to hear" and get's a bit muddled in paces, but the overll content seems ok.
What to do is to to split the statement up into sub-headings like "Work Experience", "Personal Values", "Ambition", "Nursing Today" etc and then write what is relevant to each heading.
That makes it more readable and less of a "rant" than it is just now, although its good rant

I really like textiles, fashion, interior decoration, art, beauty and hair, health, writing, nail art and more.
so im pretty much leaning towards the more creative paths.
which one would be the best paying? i think most of them are fairly low?
Some design careers can be pretty high paying, especially ones that integrate computer usage. Artists who become famous often sell their work for lots of money, but that is not a career to count on. Same with writers. Interior designers and architects do decently. Why not research some job roles, then look up salaries?

I am a stay at home mom of my 19mo old daughter. My daughter and I go to a playgroup every Sat so she can socialize with others her age. Also I find it beneficial for me to socialize with other moms as well. The problem is Im having a hard time trying to set a good schedule for us as far as educational activities for her at home(learning ABCs,numbers, shapes, colors, words) making crafts, etc. Im trying to incorporate cleaning the house, cooking, consolidating bills filing papers, working on our website(husband and I sell african products and natural health care and beauty products) AND making sure my daughter has a fun learning environment as well. Im just looking for some advice from other SAHM on how to manage my time well without feeling too overwhelmed because to be honest I feel like I can do better in that department. What learning tools do you use for your children? If you can give me an overview of your day, so maybe I can get some ideas that would be great!
No offense texas mama, but I dont think a child is ever too young to learn new things. Every child is different and I know my child's comprehension level…she is already potty trained and when someone asks her how old she is puts up one finger. Its not my fault she is a fast learner. I am not pushing her to do anything. There is no set age for a child to start learning the fundamentals. So thats why I feel I shouldnt deprive her of learning new things because according to someone else 'she is too young to comprehend that'. Maybe your child, but not mines.
my daughter is 2 1/2. I have had magnetic alphabet and numbers since she was around 1. After she went to bed at night, we would make messages for her with all of the letters. (we bought like 5 sets). Hard to spell mommy, daddy, etc. unless you have lots. We did this every night. We would just lay them on the floor in the livingroom so that when she came downstairs in the morning she would see them. Every night it was something different. Sometimes it would say goodmorning darling. Baby, car, we love you,……..whatever.
Have had books in the house forever too. We read EVERY night before bed. (No matter what). Sometimes it's only one story, but most nights it's 4/5. And they are ALWAYS the same stories. You should hear her recite them with us. It's quite something.
From day one I counted everything I did, if I was doing up buttons I counted them, if I was putting on socks, Icounted them, etc.
If it was a pink sleeper, then I said it was a pink sleeper. If it had purple bunnies on it, then I said it was a pink sleeper with purple bunnies on it.
Here's a rundown of a typical day at our house:
up around 7am ish breakfast (usually a bowl of cereal) by 7:30.
We read some books. She always gets to choose which ones. She has her own shelf. (not the same as bedtime stories)
We always have the t.v. on (for sound more than anything), she has her own movies to pick from too–Dora, the wiggles< which are great for singing and dancing,(we've watched sooooo many wiggles movies,) mostly with kids stuff going on or music (again for kids)
Now she is at the age where she is playing with her stuffies like they're real people too. It's quite amusing to watch.
But after breakfast, we have 'school' (yes this is what she calls it). She sings her ABC's, she counts from 1 - 10 on her own.
somewhere in here, between breakfast and lunch, we have a snack (usually an eggo, maybe a minigo,)
She has her own (twistable<<<best thing ever invented for little fingers) crayons. She colors in her coloring books (of which there are many). (the crayons were a BIG helper in learning her colours too)
We have a few different shape sorters, all with different shapes, but I found that stickers worked wonderfully for helping with the learning of her shapes too. (You can get all kinds of wonderful learning tools at a dollarstore.)
We do lunch around 11:30, she has a nap around noon, 12:30 at the latest, (for about 1 1/2 hrs).
When she wakes up in the afternoon, if it is nice outside, we go out and run around in the yard (or I take her to the park). If it's not nice outside, we usually just do some more reading, singing, dancing, etc.
She goes everywhere I go tho. If I go down to the kitchen, she comes with me. If I go upstairs to the bathroom, she comes with me. I don't mind, cuz now she is at the stage where she is asking about EVERYTHING, and I get to teach her.
afternoon snack between 3 - 4 (usually ham, crackers, cheese, etc). Then her big sister comes home from school, so they spend a bit of time playing together before dinner.
After dinner, it's time for a bath (if it's bath night), if not, then she gets down on the floor with daddy and plays until it's time to go up to bed, (which is 7pm<lights out). Good night, til we start all over again tomorrow.
once a week, we head into town and walk around the mall. It's pretty small, and if it's nice out then walk outside too.
You know what?? Your baby is going to learn from you no matter what you use.
Good Luck. And what ever you do HAVE FUN!!!
All of this does not take all day. There is a lot of playing in there too.

nursing degree - evidence to support or that would help your application
thanks you so much hmmmm u have really helped me xxx 10 points to you
Nursing is a diverse, challenging and worthwhile career. it is a vocation for people who are practical and conscientious. These people readily establish good, trusting relationships with other persons. The role of the nurse is changing in the NHS, with more opportunities for nurses to take greater responsibilities for patient care and specialize in areas such as intensive care, cancer treatment and other specialties. As I study for my nursing degree I find that interaction with others and the abilities to expand my role within the nursing field will bring to fruition my expectations.
After graduating after six years and obtaing my HND (say what this is, do not us initials). This provided interaction with people whch I enjoyed tremendeously. My first aid class gave me experience in emergency care as how to response to the psychological and social needs of the patient in a vunerable setting.
Working as a beauty therapist gave me experience in team work. We were taught to adapt to various situations and to problem solve under pressure which I see as vital in the nursing field.
I have chosen nursing as my career because it is a field where I can grow professionally. I can interact with diverse clientel who need to be nurtured physically, psychologically and socially. I understand that it is a demanding field and I feel that I can come to understna the nuances of a good professional that can make a difference.
I hope that I did not mess up your statement, but I did not have the question before me. Do not concentrate too much on the emotions ME. Like they say, just the facts, mam. Good-luck, you sound genuine.

I am 6 months pregnant and find my hair is growing very rapidly, I am trying to reframe from perms for the remainder of my pregnancy. However, I still want to maintain my hair's beauty. My new growth is wavy and my hair is really thick. If I apply alot of heat to my hair (i.e. blowdry and use marcel barrel curlers) it will look relaxed. But of course that's not good. I have tried Pantene Pro-V for women of color and that seems to be too heavy. Can anyone suggest a great way to maintain beauty and health while going semi-natural considering my hair texture.
i would suggest to continue to use a flat iron or Marcel iron if thats what works, i mean "if it aint broke, dont fix it" right?! however, to protect your hair i would suggest to use a thermal protector. i suggest Redken or Biosilk. both work great with ethnic hair.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-PC-15-Clip-in-Human-Hair-Extensions-light-Brown-6_W0QQitemZ260372737072QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Health_Beauty_Hair_Care_Hair_Extentions_CV?hash=item260372737072&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1688|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318
i wanted to straighten my hair and curl so with one i better ?????
i mean the non human hair ones are an 8 piece set
and the human hair ones are
3 piece set ????? :O
so whats better
Would the human hair get greasy ???:O
and and and and the 3 piece set would i have to buy 2 packs cos it would go all around my head if that makes sense xD
SORRY I GOT THE PICS MIXED UP ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUND xD
If you are going to use a heating tool on them, then I would recommend getting human hair. Don't worry about it becoming greasy. This happens because of the scalp. It doesn't just come out of the hair shaft. I hope I answered your question!

Can someone answer this and the question?
I answered your other question. It went in that category as it only had health and not a specific health category. You need to check when it allocates a category that it is the right one for, if not you can go into the system and change it manually, then put it in the one that you feel is most appropriate. After you write your question and press preview, at bottom of the box that then comes up, there will be a spot in the circle that automatically picks what subject Yahoo thinks it belongs in. If you don't feel that's best place for it, go down to the bottom of that box where it says, or,select a different category from the complete list. Click on the complete list(highlighted in blue) and a menu comes up. So say it was health that you felt it belongs in, it could go under general health, so you click on general health and the system will change it for you and place in that category instead. Some times I have changed it from the systems suggestion only for it to still appear in what they wanted to put it in in the first place. As long as you check in future it'll be fine. Like me previously, you could not check what you were unaware of.
